Thank you to Erik and Simon for the extra efforts in getting the referees ready for the season. They have been out recruiting and training the refs. I know we are still short refs for many games this weekend. Nonetheless we all appreciate the volunteer effort.
We are actively trying to get more parents to volunteer to ref games as the pool of the interested adolescents is simply not enough to cover all the games. If you are interested, even if it's to ref only your player's game, we'll take it. Come be part of the game instead of just a spectator! Please remember that you may only provide positive support to the refs. It should only be "thank you for reffing", and/or a compliment on a good call. We have a shortage of ref issue, and we need the parents help to reinforced a positive experience for our refs. Any sort of minor negative comment does have lasting impact on the overall effort in getting individuals to volunteer to ref this great game and activity for our community. |
