Oak Park AYSO Region 697 was founded in 1979. We are a recreational league run by AYSO volunteers. We support more than 1,800 players in our Fall season and more than 800 players in the Spring. We welcome all new players in first grade through high school to participate in our Fall and Spring core program and our VIP soccer program. 

Our core program is the foundation for all the fun, excitement and learning that happens on the fields. AYSO is best known for our core program – it’s where the large majority of kids fall in love with soccer and make memories that will last a lifetime.

The mission of the AYSO VIP Program is to provide a quality soccer experience for individuals whose physical or mental disabilities make it difficult for them to successfully participate on mainstream soccer teams. What is successful participation? It should be defined by the player’s enjoyment and the safety of all team members.

Our programs all operate with six core values – or what we call AYSO’s Six Philosophies:

6. Player Development.
